My writing isn’t strictly my voice.

It’s more like a voice that I harbor and learn from, that I get to express and enjoy until it fades away. I get excited writing certain scenes, and sad when writing others. I cry when people die, and when the story ends. It’s like reading a book for the first time, even in the sense that you don’t always know what’s coming next. You can skip around, sure, but the next couple of lines are always new and unheard until they appear on the page in front of you.
